Important of Renewable Energy:
Renewable energy like solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, ocean, small hydro & hydrogen energy derived from natural resources. It has huge potential to provide solution to increase energy crisis and key factor to the future of energy. These resources virtually inexhaustible. On the contrary fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas are available in finite quantities. It will run out sooner.
Renewable energy is significant because of the some key benefits are: Renewable energy emits low greenhouse gases and its good for climate change. It increase the air quality level. In recent years the energy sources are available with affordable price. Renewable energy creates jobs directly and indirectly. It is good for local community.

About the Course:
The M.Sc. in Renewable Energy a 2 year full time post graduate course with semester pattern (total four semesters) based on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).
The course imparts an advanced technical level of education in renewable energy. In this course you will gain skills and expert knowledge in solar power (PV& Thermal), wind power, biofuel and fuel cell technologies, renewable energy government policy and energy management.

Who is it for?
This course is designed for Science, Maths or engineering/B.Voc in renewable energy graduates who wish to develop a successful and rewarding career in the renewable energy sector. It will train you with the multidisciplinary expertise required to design, optimize and evaluate the technical and economic viability of energy system.

Eligibility:
Any Science graduate / B. E. (All branches) /B. Voc in Renewable Energy / Other related fields from a recognized University of Gujarat / India are eligible. Also eligible students from SAARC and nearby countries, developing countries from Asia and Africa.

What you will study:
The course provides an in-depth knowledge of renewable energy systems design and development, commercial and technical knowledge within the sustainable environment.
The taught programme M.Sc Renewable Energy comprises four core modules and one elective module with a total of 25credite on each semester. Taught modules comprises theories & practical, group project (or dissertation), and individual project.

Facility:
The institute has well equipped laboratory with all necessary equipment’s and instruments. Currently institute has state of art solar park, biomass conversion, biomass gasification power generation laboratory, wind energy laboratory. The institute has a well-equipped library with the latest text book and reference books, newsletters. Hostel facilities (AC/non-AC) are available for both boys and girls within the campus with Wi-Fi connectivity.

In their careers, our graduates have worked on a diverse and exciting range of renewable energy projects, including:
• Design & development of new renewable energy solutions,
• Testing and certification of renewable energy technologies,
• Operation and maintenance of renewable energy technologies in the field of Solar PV, solar thermal and biomass etc.,
• Technical-environmental analysis of novel renewable energy solutions.
